2. Very little is known about this toad, not even the genus to which it belongs. It was discovered during a 2010 expedition in western Colombia, and for the moment has been dubbed the red-eyed toad, though scientists are still working on how to classify it. This striking amphibian is only 3-4 cm (1-1.5 inches) in length, and lives at very high altitudes.
