The Surprising Lives of Koalas

Koalas aren’t the world’s smallest bear — rather, they aren’t a bear at all, but the world’s most adorable marsupial.

The Koala Hospital in southeastern Australia has been working to treat sick and injured koalas and return them to the wild for over forty years. During that time, volunteers and biologists at the hospital have learned a lot about these unique creatures.

Have a look at the video to learn more about the hospital and the koalas they treat.

The Rainforest Site and partner Friends of the Koala give you the opportunity to help sick and injured koalas. By donating to our Gift that Give More, you can help return rehabilitated koalas to the wild, so they can roam free and eat all the eucalyptus they want.
