The Pristine Desventuradas Islands

The Desventuradas Islands near the coast of Chile are home to an amazing diversity of rare and beautiful aquatic wildlife, from groups of giant lobsters to the once-considered-extinct Juan Fernández fur seal.

Last year, National Geographic and Oceana Chile jointly explored and documented these pristine islands, and were able to capture some incredible footage.
