The Diverse World of Fluorescent Fish

It turns out that biofluorescence is much more common in marine life than previously thought. Earlier this year, researchers published an article identifying more than 180 marine species that naturally emit fluorescent light. Although the biological purpose of this ability remains a mystery, it is certainly a beautiful phenomenon.
