The Department of Obsolete Industry: Seal Blubber

GreaterGood partner IFAW campaigns for the welfare of animals all around the world. This influential partner has worked for years to get Canada’s yearly seal hunt banned. Canada argues that the yearly seal hunt is important for their industry.

To help get the truth out, IFAW created the fictional Department of Obsolete Industry to highlight the fact that seal blubber has had no significant impact on the global economy since the invention of electricity.
