5. Houseflies
Houseflies are super annoying. However, maybe we should consider cutting them some slack.
These irritating insects only live for about four weeks. Buuuuut, during that time, they do manage to lay around 1,000 eggs.
4. Mayflies
Mayflies have the unfortunate distinction of having the shortest lifespan of any animal on earth. Known as the “one-day insects” these bugs only live for about 24 hours, and some species die within hours of birth.
Lucky for the mayfly, they don’t have a lot to do in their short time on Earth. Their sole goal is to mate and die.
3. Mice
Ah, the house mouse. These pesky little rodents may be a tremendous inconvenience in your home, but they’ve got a lot going on. Their lifespan is only about a year, and with humans (and other animals) out to get them, it’s often significantly shorter.
Additionally, these poor little guys often face a variety of health issues. To compensate for their brief lifespan, these critters breed quickly and abundantly!
