Shepherd Dogs Help Save Cheetah Population

Conservationists have taken an innovative approach to ensuring shepherds and cheetahs can peacefully coexist. Kangal dogs help their owners protect goat herds while chasing away cheetahs that might want to prey on the livestock. This helps protect the big cats from revenge killings should they target livestock for their next meal.

These courageous dogs have offered a non-lethal predator control program for the shepherds of Nambia for over 19 years!
