Sometimes animals just get lost or separated from their families or friends; but even when they do, they can usually manage on their own if they are an adult.
But when a baby gets lost, it can be a recipe for disaster that could potentially end in a heartbreaking situation if the animal is left on its own without the safety and protection of its own kind.
When one couple found a baby seal all alone on the beach, they contacted the Alaska SeaLife Center, who told them that the little pup was in need of a rescue!
The four-day-old seal had been out of the water for more than 12 full hours, which mean it was in dire need of some extra attention.
