You Can Name A Cockroach After Your Ex For Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, many people are looking to celebrate love and romance with their someone special.

Those who may have been burned recently, though, may be wanting to celebrate in a different kind of way. Anti-Valentine’s Day celebrations and traditions have been more popular recently and with good reason. It seems that the San Antonio Zoo has gotten the memo and they have a unique way to do just that.

If you’re having romance trouble this year, you may be interested to know that the San Antonio Zoo will let you symbolically name a cockroach, rodent, or veggie after your not-so-special someone as part of its annual Cry Me A Cockroach Fundraiser.

According to the zoo’s website, the funds raised from the event “support the zoo’s vision of securing a future for wildlife in Texas and around the world.”

For $5, you can name a veggie. For $10, you can name a cockroach. And, for $25, you can name a rodent.

For an extra $150, you can kick things up a notch by getting a custom video with a message of the cockroach, rodent, or veggie named after your not-so-special someone being fed to another animal.

Each donor will receive a digital Valentine’s Day Card showing your support for the Cry Me a Cockroach Fundraiser.

For those who are looking for other ways to participate without naming something after an ex, there’s also Cry Me a Cockroach merchandise available.
