The rufa red knot is one of the most amazing birds on the planet. Its migration path takes it from the bottom tip of South America all the way to the tip-top of North America — giving it one of the longest-distance known annual migrations of any avian.

However, these incredible birds are losing their habitat, and their populations are dropping sharply, mostly due to human action and changes in the climate.
