Migration of the Mule Deer

Mule deer, whose yearly migration covers 150 miles (241 km), has the longest migration of any large animal in the contiguous United States. Their migration takes them through both public and privately owned land, which means they have plenty of obstacles and terrain to overcome.

Research biologists have only recently discovered the incredible lengths these deer must go through to traverse the rough terrain of the Rocky Mountains.

Watch the video and have a look at some amazing footage of the yearly mule deer migration.
