Injured D.C. Snowy Owl Gets “New” Wing

A snowy owl hit by a bus recently got some extra-special care from the folks at the University of Minnesota’s Raptor Center. A centuries-old technique called imping created by falconers to help their birds recover from a broken wing was used to give this bird a second chance to soar.
