Whales are some of the ocean’s most amazing creatures. Some, like the blue whale, are bigger than a city bus, while others can be almost smaller than a dolphin. The variation of these animals is outstanding, and whenever people get to see them in the wild, it is a beautiful experience.
Sometimes however, when some of the bigger varieties get up close and personal, it can be quite startling, especially when they come from the depths with no warning whatsoever.
That is exactly what happened for this group of bystanders and a fisherman who were just minding their own business at the Knudson Cove Marina in Alaska.
The last thing they expected to see was a massive humpback whale breaking the surface to find some food right next to a bunch of docked boats.
Check out the incredible footage below because it’s an incredibly rare sight and extremely up close and personal!
