This past Saturday, a humpback whale was freed from 230 feet of fishing line. The whale is now free thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), who spent three hours completing a job they'd started the previous day (the whale had gotten away). Unfortunately, this whale is one of the many who have been caught in fishing gear; the NOAA has already rescued about 50 whales this year alone. Still, this (big) guy had a happy ending. Check it out!
