Hummingbird… or Moth?

Although this little guy might have the look and behavior of a hummingbird, it is actually a type of moth that evolved its hummingbird-like characteristics independently. It’s called a hummingbird hawk moth.

Its proboscis is long, like the hummingbird’s beak, which helps it gather hard-to-reach nectar. The hummingbird hawk moth can also beat its wings faster than some species of hummingbirds.
