Seeing These Snowy Owl Chicks Hatch Before Your Very Eyes Is Breathtaking

There are many different owl breeds across the world, but there are very few as gorgeous to witness in the wild as the snowy owl.

With feathers that let it go almost completely unnoticed when contrasted with their snowy habitats, the male birds are almost entirely white in color to help them achieve maximum camouflage while hunting. The females however have spots of black which help them be more hidden on the ground while they care for the eggs.

When it comes time for the eggs to hatch, it is quite the occasion.

A young snowy owl pair has nested on the open tundra. There’s little to see for miles around, including other snowy owls because this pair is the only one nesting in the area. The camera crew that came to film these incredibly beautiful birds was more than a little worried about there not being any other owls in sight.

After a while they had to start wondering if it was right to come to that particular spot. But the most important question is whether or not they will be able to witness the hatching of the eggs.
