Woman Makes A Tiny Bed So The Squirrels In Her Garden Have A Place To Chill Out
When was the last time you spent part of your life just sitting for a few minutes and watching squirrels running around and playing? It can really be interesting because they are such busy little creatures.
A woman by the name of Sharon Cutler realized how busy they were and figured they also needed a new place to sleep. That is when she created an adorable little bed for them to enjoy.
As a landscape photographer in England, Cutler is familiar with the animals in the area. She first made the little bed from driftwood so she could take some pictures of her daughter’s guinea pig, using it as a prop.
More recently, she remade the bed and included some little linens. She put it in the garden to see if the squirrels might enjoy it.
It wasn’t long before she found out the answer.
As Cutler was looking, still holding her camera, the little bed received a visitor. It was a squirrel she named Cyril.
It seems as if Cyril needed a nap and he now had the perfect place to take it.
“Cyril the squirrel was so tired from a busy day in the garden,” Cutler wrote. “So it was time to say his prayers, plump up his pillow, fluff up his quilt, and jump into bed.”
When all was said and done, Cyril seemed to have a few chores left to do, so he didn’t stick around long. The pictures, however, are going to last for a lifetime!
“I love photographing squirrels,” Cutler told The Dodo. “Such cheeky, mischievous little characters.”
