When I was a child, there was nothing more frightening than watching an Alfred Hitchcock thriller. Even to this day, I get a little concerned when I see more than one bird looking in my direction. That being said, I can’t even imagine how Jamie Kingscott felt.
Kingscott is an ecologist who was on his way to work when something out of the ordinary happened. Suddenly, the road in front of him was blocked by thousands of starlings that were flying by.
It happened in Somerset, England, so that may not be an area where I would want to travel.
The 26-year-old ecologist said that it is an interesting part of the winters in the area. He posted the picture, saying that he had to stop his vehicle so thousands of starlings could cross the road in front of him.

Thought he didn’t make the immediate connection with the horror film, his followers certainly did.
After posting it to Twitter a month ago, it went viral and receive thousands of likes.
He was surprised with how quickly it spread, but those of us who remember fearing Alfred Hitchcock movies as a youngster are not so surprised.
As it turns out, there was something a little strange about seeing so many starlings, as if it wasn’t strange enough. Typically, they fly at a higher altitude but on this particular day, they were very low.
It gave him an opportunity to see the birds more closely. He was enthralled with watching the birds to the point where he almost missed taking the footage entirely.
With the way things have been going recently, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise.Whizzco
