We sometimes hear about whales that are saved by kind individuals after getting caught in fishing lines. The pictures and videos are always interesting and, at times, they bring a tear to our eye.
Recently, something similar happened off the coast of Southern California when a fisherman noticed a sea creature facing the same problem.
The thing is, it wasn’t a whale that was in distress, it was a great white shark.
Sean Bailey took the video when he was out fishing with his father and they saw the shark swimming in circles around the boat.

Bailey called out to his father to take a closer look at this shark, because “He’s got a bunch of fishing line stuck to him.”
It took a little finesse for Bailey’s father to get the boat close enough to the shark to cut the wires. Those wires were keeping the shark from moving about freely and they even held onto the fishing wire, which amounted to quite a pile when all was said and done.
Fortunately, nobody was injured in the process and they feel that the shark is going to be just fine, according to FOX6.
They also would like to remind people that they should be careful when they dispose of their fishing line because you never know what may be harmed by it.
