Deer And Raccoon Play Together Like They’re BFFs

A sweet video captured the moment a deer and raccoon began playing with each other like old friends.

It’s not unheard of for some animals of different species to become friends, like dogs and cats or cows and goats.

But a deer befriending a raccoon? This might a first!

For starters, raccoons are usually active and night and deer come out during the day. According to National Geographic, raccoons are active at night and they weigh just 4 to 23 pounds.

Deer, on the other hand, occasionally venture out during daylight hours, though they’re often active at dusk. They’re much larger than raccoons, eat different foods, and live in different habitats.

In the video below, you can watch a deer and a raccoon overcome their differences and act like the best of friends! They sniff each other and the raccoon even looks like he’s giving the deer a giant hug!

They hop around together, almost as if playing a friendly game of tag. While either of them could’ve run off in fear, they both stuck together and seemed genuinely interested with each other.

It’s unusual to witness, but it just goes to show that love and friendship know no bounds.
