New Zealand Diver Plays With Baby Orcas Near Little Barrier

Dive with baby orcas just off the coast of New Zealand’s Little Barrier Island. College student Sam Galloway captured his close encounter with the whales while spearfishing and diving for crayfish. Also known as killer whales, orcas are actually oceanic dolphins common in the waters around New Zealand, home to a population of 150 to 200. Orcas are very social mammals that enjoy play as well as hunting. Get a look as they interact with Galloway.
