Meet America’s Two Newest Bald Eaglets!

The D.C. Eagle Nest Cam at Washington D.C.’s National Arboretum was able to capture some amazing footage of two baby bald eagles hatching. Though the eaglets were hidden from view for most of the event as the two parents, known as Mr. President and The First Lady, took turns keeping them warm, the skilled camera operators were still able to capture some great shots of the baby birdies. The two eaglets, born on March 18 and 20, have been temporarily named DC2 and DC3, respectively, and a public vote is set for mid-May 2016 to help determine the official names of these majestic creatures.
