Hammock Confuses Three Adorable Bear Cubs

While visiting the Smokey Mountains, a family was surprised to find unexpected visitors in the backyard of their cabin.

According to ViralHog, three black bear cubs had made the way into the yard and were having a blast playing on a hammock!

Mama bear was nearby, keeping a watchful eye on her cubs as they swung the hammock around.

When the family saw the adorable cubs on the hammock, they pulled out a camera and started recording.

In the video, you can see the three clubs climbing onto the hammock and falling off as it swings all the way around. They seem completely confused and curious as they try to figure out what it is they’re dealing with!

The family shared with ViralHog:

“During a short family vacation to the Smokey Mountains, we heard some noise outside our cabin. To our surprise, we discovered three bear cubs playing on the hammock while Mama bear was close by, keeping a watchful eye.”

According to the National Park Service, the Smokey Mountains National Park has an estimated 1,500 black bears. That comes out to approximately two bears per square mile, so it’s not uncommon to see bears when visiting the park.

However, seeing cubs is more of a treat. Mama bears usually give birth in January or early February. They emerge from their dens at around 2-3 months of age, in March or April. By October, when the family was visiting the mountains, the cubs are still young, playful, and extremely curious!
