This Baby Orangutan is Excited to Meet Her New Friends!

Rickina is a baby orangutan who was confiscated by International Animal Rescue’s Ketapang Orangutan Rescue Center from a man who claimed to have seen her mother get startled and abandon her in the forests of Borneo. The story just didn’t line up — orangutans are some of the most attentive mothers on the planet, and would fight to the death to protect their children.

Thankfully, Rickina’s new home is much better. In this video, Rickina finally meets some of the center’s other orangutans — check it out, it’s adorable.
